Hello, my name is Bailey.
I’m a graphic designer and communications professional living and working in Louisville, Kentucky. From a very young age I was inspired by all art forms. Growing up, visual art and theatre were my two passions. I studied theatre arts (acting) and journalism at Beloit College in Wisconsin where I also studied abroad for a semester at the Gaeity School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. During that time, I never lost my love for visual art, continuing to take drawing classes whenever the opportunity arose.
Soon after, I moved back to the bluegrass state and decided to become an Americorps VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) to learn all the ins and outs of a nonprofit. This is where I really put my verbal, written, and visual communication skills to work. Later, I started at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kentucky-Southeast Indiana Chapter and soon became responsible for creating all marketing materials for the organization and was contracted by other small nonprofits to assist with their marketing needs. I expanded my skills after working in the communications department at the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department, developing all promotional materials and providing support for all marketing efforts.
Currently, I’m the Deputy Communications Director at KentuckianaWorks, the Louisville region’s workforce development board.
